INSCRIBED PRIVATELY PRINTED EDITION. Octavo (23 x 15cm), unpaginated [8]. Original drab card wraps, sewn, paper title label printed in black to upper. Inscribed by A. T. Bartholomew to flyleaf. One of just one hundred and fifty copies privately printed for A. T. Bartholomew and Bruce Rogers at the University Press Cambridge. Together with two single fold cards featuring extracts of verse by Samuel Butler, the larger card bearing Bruce Rogers' colophon to the reverse, the smaller card showing Bartholomew's monogram from his bookplate designed by Rogers. Small handwritten note from the recipient Sir Roderick Meiklejohn stating that it was printed by Rogers.
Lightly handled. Fine.
An excellent collection of items produced by Bruce Rogers, widely regarded as one of the finest book designers of the last century.
