INSCRIBED FIRST EDITION, first printing. Octavo (19 x 13cm), pp.viii; 90; [2]. Publisher's dark blue cloth, titles in gilt to spine and upper, gilt flame device and ruled border to upper. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Inscribed by the author to the flyleaf, with a date in pencil in another hand.

Some spotting to prelims, binding showing occasionally throughout the textblock but still firm. Binding a little rubbed and marked. Very good.

The scarce first book by Dorothy Wellesley, rated by W.B. Yeats as one of the greatest writers of the twentieth century.
