INSCRIBED FIRST EDITION, first printing. Octavo (20 x 14cm), pp.256. Publisher's red cloth, blocked in gilt to spine and upper, decorative endpapers. Striking neon pink dust-jacket with printed price of 25'/ to front flap. Decorative title page, frontispiece and numerous vignettes printed in red, black and green. Inscribed by the author to the verso of the flyleaf: "To | Doris & Eddie | May you both be | Shaking in your 90's | Sincerely yours | Eddie Clarke | October 1971".

Two address stamps of Clarke's 'Albemarle Club' to half title, internally fine, textblock a little toned to edges with a few unobtrusive marks to fore-edge. Binding a little bumped to top corners with corresponding bruising to dust-wrapper. Dust-jacket shows much better than usually found, with the colours still vibrant, light wear to extremities and a tiny closed tear to rear panel. An exemplary copy. Fine.
