FIRST EDITION, first printing. Octavo (23 x 15cm), pp.[12]; 194; [2]. Publisher's red cloth, gilt titles to spine, top edge red. Dust-jacket with printed price of 10s 6d net to front flap. Illustrated throughout with linocuts by William Kermode.

Internally fine, some light spotting and toning to endpapers and edges. Binding marginally sunned to spine. Dust-jacket darkened, more so to spine, some spotting, chipping to bottom of spine panel, some loss to the top and a small hole at the middle. Very good.
