DEIGHTON, Len (born 1929).
An Expensive Place to Die.
London: Jonathan Cape, 1967.
FIRST EDITION, first printing. Octavo (20 x 14cm), pp.254; [2]. Publisher’s black cloth, gilt titles to spine, decorative endpapers. Dust-jacket designed by Raymond Hawkey, with printed price of 21s. net. Complete with the ‘In Transit Docket’ containing ten facsimiles of ‘Top Secret’ documents.
Internally fine, edges a little toned. 'In Transit Docket' is present and complete although the folder is split along one edge and bears the remnants of a sticker to the rear. Dust-jacket shows well, lightly worn to edges, moderately sunned to spine. Very good.
