Originally self-published then taken up by the Stolen Paper Review Editions press, a slim volume of poetry that lead to a well publicised obscenity trial in 1967. Kandel was a figure within the Beat Generation and the Hippie counterculture, a friend of Kerouac and linked with the Diggers and the Hells Angels.
